The big swirl lollipops as the name suggests are big with bright beautiful colors they can weigh as much as 24 ounces and when put on a stick make an impressive sight.

A big pink and white swirl lollipop arrangement would be ideal for favors at a baby shower. With all of the shapes and sizes avaliable the big swirl lollipops could also be used as the centerpieces at weddings, or other events.

An interesting twist on the big swirl lollipop is that there are flavor varieties made specifically for adults. These include a red chili pepper lollipop, a jalapeno pepper lollipop that looks and tastes like a jalapeno pepper. If you are looking for a little indulgence without guilt try the sugar free margarita lollipop with salt. These are really a fun litle treat for the magarita lovers on your gift lists. With people staying home more and families doing more things together making an old fashion swirl lollipop can be a fun activity that requires just a few supplies.

To start making your own swirl lollipop start with this mixture. Make a basic candy recipe by mixing one cup of sugar, 1/3 cup of white corn syrup and 1/2 cup of water in a heavy saucepan, heat until it reaches 280 degrees. Remember to keep stirring the mixture, then reduce heat and continue heating until it reachs 300 degrees.

Remove from heat and let cool until about 265 degrees.when the candy stops bubbling you are ready to add the flavoring and the color. Don’t stir it to much just enough to add the flavor and the color evenly.

Take a metal baking sheet and flip it upside down cover with foil and put the molds for the lollipops on top. Spray the molds with a non-stick baking spray. When the candy stops boiling pour it into the molds, as it cools and hardens add your sticks. When they are throughly cooled pop them out of the molds and enjoy your own big swirl lollipop.
